I made this one for Grandma, she loved red. The family has grown since this moment in time. I wanted to try something new so i went with the family snowflake instead of the family tree.

My first major paper project, this 1′ round piece was cut a 16th pie slice at a time on a homemade lightboard I rigged up. Nowadays, I do all my designing on the computer, which makes it much easier technically. My designs usually start on the iPad in Adobe Sketch, then on to Illustrator and Photoshop.

The rub-on letters were done rather poorly, another skill not needed now. Actually getting rub-down letters that small set with perfect leading and alignment is very challenging.
